I’m Barbara Hallett and have been an assistant for nearly 30 years with vast experience at CEO/Board level for FTSE 250 global business. Fully conversant with the challenges required to support complex and confidential diary/email inbox management, liaising with important stakeholders, intricate global travel schedules and UK and International event co-ordination. In addition I had responsibility for successful management of global head office for 12 years with extensive experience of dealing with suppliers and service providers. So lots of challenges to face and balls to juggle!
During this time some challenges I undertook were:
- Being involved in design, overseeing construction and logistics of moving to a new office.
- Coordination of company’s annual global conferences from sourcing venue, delegate travel, accommodation and detailed communication, through to support at the event in varying global locations – UK, India, Brazil, Italy, USA, Vietnam, Macau and Sri Lanka.
Working alongside very busy senior executives who travelled continually functioning on a remote basis is nothing new to me. Setting myself up as a freelance Virtual Assistant offering support to Executives, Consultants, Independent Board Directors and small business owners – in fact anyone who needs my help, was a change step that was an easy decision to make.
